Oscar Bellomo-Gries
Oscar found his second life after our technician, Melanie (now the hospital manager) took him home when his owners couldn’t care for him anymore. He was already 15, and everyone thought he’d only be around for a few months longer. But after a very long and involved dental surgery to remove his rotten teeth, and being placed on some very good heart medication, Oscar became like a puppy all over again. He soon came to “rule” his new home, even though there were 5 other big dogs who lived there. Oscar died valiantly at the age of 18 after coming head-to-head with a rattlesnake on his favorite hiking trail. He is missed every single day and survived by his parents Jon and Melanie and his siblings Chauncey, Winnie, Scout, Nocci, and Marshmallow.
